Steven F. Pittz

Biography

Steven Pittz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.  He teaches courses on Political Philosophy, International Relations, and American Government.  Pittz holds a doctorate in philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses primarily on political liberalism and the status of spiritual freedom in modern liberal societies. He writes on other topics in both political theory and international politics and economics. His book, Recovering the Liberal Spirit: Nietzsche, Individuality and Spiritual Freedom will be published by SUNY Press in 2020.
